Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Procurement Lead to orchestrate equipment sourcing strategies and lead end-to-end procurement activities on complex projects. You will partner with client technical teams and internal stakeholders to ensure best value and adherence to specifications.

The role requires a decade of procurement experience with escalating leadership, a background in construction-related sectors, and a recognized certification path such as CIPS.

Qualifications

  • Ten years of procurement experience with increasing leadership
  • Construction environment in pharmaceutical/medical device sectors or EPC background in oil & gas
  • Degree in procurement or supply chain management
  • CIPS certification or on the path to complete it
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to build positive relationships with team and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage equipment sourcing strategies from supplier identification to on-site receipt
  • Act as strategic partner with business and client technical teams to ensure alignment
  • Lead bid evaluations and supplier awards based on market knowledge
  • Review quotations and proposals against specs and terms
  • Coordinate bid requests and contract development with legal/finance
  • Develop statements of work and service level agreements
  • Ensure compliance with procurement processes and stage-gate approvals
  • Identify and drive procurement innovation

Overview

The Opportunity
In this role you will:
  • Develop, implement, and manage equipment sourcing strategies, from identification of supply chain partners through to receipt of materials on site , including expediting of orders
  • Act as a strategic partner and maintain alignment with business partners , including client technical teams to ensure ongoing support of the strategies agreed
  • Lead the decision-making process and make recommendations on awards based on your expert market knowledge
  • Own the evaluation of bids to determine the best overall value, reviewing quotations and proposals against specifications and terms and conditions
  • Manage various bid requests and contract developments with rigorous attention to detail, partnering with legal and finance teams when needed
  • Develop statements of work, performance terms and Service Level Agreements for the project
  • Utilise client specific procurement systems and processes as required , ensuring compliance with all stage gate approvals
  • Review procurement practices on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with relevant laws
  • Use your expert knowledge to identify and drive innovation in the procurement and supply chain process

  • Have grown your procurement experience over the last 10 years with increasing levels of leadership
  • Have experience in a construction environment within the pharmaceutical/medical device sectors or from an EPC background in the oil and gas sector
  • Have a degree in a procurement or supply chain management related discipline
  • Have a CIPS certification or are on the path to complete it. We can help
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset to build balanced solutions and recommendations
  • Thrive on building positive relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun
  • Are an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing

All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required.

The salary range for this role is between $108,000 to $145,067 but actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set and education.
