Job summary

Boeing in the United States is seeking a senior supply chain professional to synchronize materials procurement and manage supplier contracts. The role interfaces with customers and suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality materials are delivered, while leveraging big data for executive insights.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in supply chain (or 8+ with a Master's) and strong skills in MRP, SAP, and advanced Excel. Public speaking and stakeholder influence are valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry, or a Master's degree and 8+ years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred
  • Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change
  • Ideal candidate for this position is someone who understands the importance of relationships – how to positively cultivate and use influence to obtain desired outcomes
  • Project management experience and skills
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering/technical drawings
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing process.

  • Strong analytical background with cost/price estimating in the aviation industry

Responsibilities

  • Synchronize the supply chain for obtaining all metallic and non-metallic raw materials for the company
  • Interface with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality materials are delivered on time
  • Develop requests for quotations and proposals, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and award contracts
  • Place inventory levels, purchase orders, and monitor supplier performance
  • Monitor customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning
  • Take big data, analyze and summarize for executive presentations
  • Collaborate with multi-functional groups as a team player

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining all metallic and non-metallic raw materials for the company. Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality materials are delivered, to the right place, at the right time.
  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activity.
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Placing inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
  • Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.
  • Ability to take big data, analyze and summarize for executive presentations
  • Team player, collaboration with multi-functional groups
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry, or a Master's degree and 8+ years related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay & Benefits:
