Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking an experienced supply chain professional in Kansas to synchronize procurement and logistics across internal and external stakeholders.

You will ensure quality parts arrive on time, manage supplier contracts, and optimize inventory and planning processes. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, collaboration with customers and suppliers, and leveraging SAP/MRP knowledge to improve manufacturing outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related field.
• Strong data analysis skills are a plus.
• Power BI expertise is a desired skill.
• Knowledge or experience in manufacturing and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with MRP systems, with preference given to SAP experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company.
• Interfacing with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered, to the right place, at the right time.
• Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
• Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
• Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.
• Assists in development and implementation of metrics, training and training materials.

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units(“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Position Responsibilities

Summary Pay Range - Senior Level (Level 5): $115,200 - $176,650
