Job summary

Genesis AEC is seeking a Senior Process Utility Engineer to design and optimize essential utility systems for pharmaceutical facilities in Blue Bell, PA. The role entails preparing project deliverables, contract documents, and system designs while ensuring code compliance and industry standards.

You will lead and mentor junior staff, oversee contract documents, and participate in construction administration, RFIs, and project meetings in a fast-paced, life sciences environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering preferred, or related engineering degree.
• 10+ years of experience in the design and engineering of process utility systems in Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare.
• Experience with purified water, water for injection, clean steam, compressed air/gases, vacuum, cryogenic liquids, neutralization and effluent decontamination.
• Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and standards.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project deliverables and contract documents, including calculations, pipe design, and drawings.
• Utilize knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards for pharmaceutical utilities to develop system designs.
• Survey existing piping systems and assess field conditions to support project completion.
• Apply general building construction knowledge to piping systems design.
• Oversee junior staff, provide leadership, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Oversee construction administration, respond to RFIs and review shop drawings.
• Attend project meetings.
