Job summary

TAI in Mt Vernon, Indiana seeks a Senior Process (Utilities) Engineer/SME to lead the design and coordination of essential process utility systems that support pharmaceutical and biotechnology operations, guiding projects from concept to implementation in a client‑facing role. You will develop technical specifications and studies, produce cost estimates, review work, and coordinate across disciplines.

A Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree with PE licensure preferred, 8+ years of process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of process design experience creating and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, equipment and piping specifications.
• 3+ years in Pharma/Biotech/Life Science industry.
• PE licensure preferred; knowledge of GMP, FDA/EMA standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical requirements specifications for systems and client standards.
• Develop engineering studies and process design packages.
• Review design work, manage scope changes and additional services.
• Coordinate project documentation and CAD drawings.
• Interface with code officials and other design professionals as needed.
• Coordinate across disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
