• Trade school graduate or associate degree; combination with experience possible.
• Knowledge of Scientific Molding principles.
• 5+ years experience in an injection molding operation.
• Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing/molding operation.
• Good written and verbal communication; basic equipment knowledge; ability to read prints and use measuring tools; strong math skills.
• Experience in performance development, mentoring, and teamwork; alignment with company values.

Responsibilities

• Develop injection molding processes using proven scientific methodologies.
• Validate injection mold and work cell through IQ, OQ, PQ validation processes.
• Document in detail molding process, mold setup, work cell layout, and troubleshooting information for each job.
• Monitor quality per statistical process control and other control procedures.
• Evaluate new processes, components, products, and systems per engineering specs.
• Isolate problems for further analysis and coordinate with other shifts.
• Perform repairs and minor adjustments to equipment; respond to malfunctions.

Shift Times:

2 nd Shift4:00pm to 12:30am Monday through Friday

Compensation
Total Potential 2nd-Shift Pay:$33.00–$44.00 per hour
Includes base pay of $30.00–$40.00 per hour plus a 10% second-shift differential.

POSITION SUMMARY: Maintains production yields by directly inspecting and/or reviewing reports and coordinating with other shifts to keep the process at peak efficiency and quality including equipment, settings, auxiliary units, robotics, etc.) In addition, this role directs and executes toolchanges perthe production schedule.

• Develop injection molding processes using proven scientific methodologies.
• Validate injection mold and work cell throughIQ, OQ, PQ validation process.
• Document in detail, molding process, mold set up, work cell layout, andtroubleshootinginformation for each job that isvalidated.
• Monitor and verify qualityin accordance withstatistical process or other control procedures
• Evaluate new processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications
• Isolates problems for further analyses
• Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment
• Performs tests to verify production/process conditions
• Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications
• Tends automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation
• Support current production needs for trouble shooting and process improvement.
• Support and oversee new process equipment production.
• Participate in activitiespertaining tocycle time and process improvements.
• Develop andmaintainprocess documentation.
• Learns to apply and support lean manufacturing principles
• Review processing methods.
• Ensures ISO and safety standards are adhered
• Maintain contact with interdepartmental managers to provide feedback when dealing with process or material changes.
• Understand and execute all plant policies and procedures.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• EDUCATION : Trade school graduate or associates degree or a combination of experience and education.
