Job summary

Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, seeks a Senior Process-Mechanical/Chemical Engineer to lead design and development of utilities for semiconductor and advanced technology facilities in the California Bay Area or Oregon. You will drive process piping, water systems, gas storage, and wastewater treatment, mentor a growing team, and ensure compliance with NFPA and Building Codes.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with two days in the office per week and a competitive compensation package

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• PE Stamp – Mechanical or Chemical (CA reciprocity) or ability to reciprocity in CA.
• 7+ years of design/construction experience in the AEC industry.
• Experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, R&D, and clean room environments.
• Proficiency with Navisworks, Bluebeam, Revit, and MS Office.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design projects in clean rooms, fabrication facilities, microelectronics, and labs.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and process piping designs.
• Design high-purity water systems and bulk gas storage and distribution.
• Prepare specifications and datasheets for process equipment.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators for compliance.
• Provide construction administration support including submittals and RFIs.
• Lead and develop a team of process engineers.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA and Building/Mechanical Codes.
• Utilize Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Revit for design coordination.
• Drive client satisfaction through project execution.
