Job summary
Plansee Group USA is seeking a Senior Process and Innovation Specialist at the Towanda, PA site to drive process development, production technology projects, and continuous improvement. You will work with the Head of R&D and cross-functional teams to optimize materials processing and manufacturing performance.
The role requires a technical background in chemical engineering or physical chemistry, and a strong drive for innovation with collaboration across internal and external partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred.
- Strong technical background in Chemical Engineering or Physical Chemistry.
- Experience in process efficiency, energy efficiency, and product quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute production-related process development projects in alignment with Head of R&D.
- Lead or participate in raw material processing and production technology projects.
- Collaborate with universities, research institutes and external laboratories; share best practices across the group.
- Report progress, results, risks, and recommendations; maintain documentation of results and findings.
- Contribute to research programs and participate in industry events and conferences; promote innovations.
