Job summary
Plansee Group USA in Towanda, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Senior Process and Innovation Specialist to lead and execute manufacturing process development and production technology projects. You will work closely with the Head of R&D and cross-functional teams to enhance operational performance and product quality.
The role emphasizes collaboration with universities and external laboratories, rigorous documentation, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, Physics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant process development experience may be considered.
- Strong background in Chemical Engineering or Physical Chemistry.
- Creative thinker who can contribute to R&D with innovative ideas.
- Experience in process efficiency and product quality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead production-related process development projects aligned with Head of R&D.
- Lead raw material processing and production technology projects.
- Collaborate with universities and external labs; share best practices across the group.
- Report progress, results, risks and recommendations; document findings.
- Contribute to research programs and present at industry events.
