Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Industrial Engineer to contribute to operations in Queenstown. This hybrid role balances on-site process observation with remote data analysis and strategic planning to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall quality.

You will lead improvement projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with operations, quality, and maintenance to implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, supported by SPC and process simulation tools.

Qualifications

You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing complex manufacturing and operational processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall quality. Your expertise in industrial engineering principles will be crucial in leading impactful improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes to enhance throughput and reduce waste.
• Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
• Utilize advanced data analytics and statistical tools to identify performance trends and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, and maintenance, to drive successful implementation of process changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing operations, or a similar industrial role.
• Strong proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (certification is a plus).
• Advanced skills in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and process simulation software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both on-site and remote responsibilities.
