Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc.’s Frederick National Laboratory in Maryland seeks a Business Process Specialist IV to lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives across facilities maintenance, engineering operations, asset management, and capital projects.

You will analyze workflows, map processes, drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements, establish control frameworks, and guide cross-functional teams to enhance quality, reliability, safety and overall operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field as listed.
• 8+ years of related experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or quality management.
• Experience leading complex process improvement projects and facilitating cross-functional teams.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies experience.
• Knowledge of process improvement, BPM, QA, and process control methodologies.
• Strong data analysis, KPI development, and performance measurement experience.
• Experience with CMMS, EAM, or IWMS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level process improvement initiatives across facilities operations and capital projects.
• Analyze workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Develop sustainable solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality.
• Facilitate process redesigns and establish process control frameworks.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Develop process maps, SOPs, and documentation; maintain performance data.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and communicate outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Engineering, Quality Management, Facilities Management, Public Administration or related field
