Job summary

Sentara Health in Virginia Beach is seeking a Day-shift Senior Process Improvement Engineer for the Acute Care Operations Improvement team. You will identify, analyze, and optimize operational processes to boost efficiency, quality, and productivity, while mentoring other PI Engineers and leading cross-functional teams.

You will develop data-driven strategies, create detailed reports for senior management, and ensure the sustainability of improvements, aligning with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in process improvement engineering and mapping.
• Experience with workflow redesign, labor management, and data analysis preferred.

Uses data-driven methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools to streamline workflows, reduce waste, improve overall performance, and develop strategies for improvement. Work closely with department leaders and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
