Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Virginia or compact multi-state RN license in good standing.
  • At least 3 years of recent nursing leadership in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff scheduling, time-off approvals, and resource allocation to support department needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback and mentorship to nursing staff.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build an effective workforce.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance team engagement and retention, creating a positive work environment.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource to staff, addressing concerns and resolving issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and best practices within the unit.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $121,555.20 - $181,376.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
