Job summary

TPI Composites Inc in Florida invites an experienced Process Engineering Manager to oversee, train, and mentor the process engineering team in developing cost-effective manufacturing methods for composite products.

You will lead cross-functional projects, coordinate product launches, work with vendors, and apply statistical tools to boost safety, quality, and efficiency across the plant. The role requires 50+ hour weeks at times with a strong focus on Kaizen and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in related engineering discipline with 5–10 years of related experience.
• Experience with wind blade composite or other composite experience.
• Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• CAD/CAM proficiency.
• CNC machine programming.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, Virtual Gibbs or similar programs.
• Machine tooling, design, molding.
• Project Management: ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
• Quality-oriented and detail-focused.
• Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with high performance teams.
• Ability to maintain safe work environment.
• Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains, and mentors process engineering team members.
• Lead cross-functional teams and projects; guide others in resolving complex issues.
• Prepare and maintain layouts of processes and related equipment.
• Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including goals, timelines, budgets.
• Confer with management, engineering, and staff on capabilities and schedules to facilitate production.
• Confer with sales, planning, and design on tooling to ensure efficient production methods and quality results.
• Design, develop, test, and cost-justify tools, machinery and equipment; coordinate with vendors.
• Apply statistical methods for safety, cost, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams.
• Ensure subordinates comply with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Manage performance and development of subordinates.
