Job summary

TPI Composites Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to develop and implement cost-effective processes for wind blade composite manufacturing. You will create layouts, evaluate materials, and coordinate new product launches on the factory floor.

You should have a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology, 3–5 years of related experience, and strong Kaizen/Lean methods.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 3–5 years related experience required (wind blade composite or other composite experience preferred).
• Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, Virtual Gibbs or similar programs.
• Computer proficiency and strong project management skills.
• Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of processes and related equipment.
• Evaluate composite and infusion related materials; cost justify and implement improvements.
• Develop tooling and equipment and layouts for new/revised products meeting specifications.
• Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including goals, training, and evaluation.
• Design, develop, test, and source tools, machinery and equipment; confer with vendors for procurement.
• Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
