Job summary

COHERENT is seeking a senior Engineering Leader to guide projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to specifications. Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience (12 years of related job experience without a degree).
• Experience with project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of ceramic material fabrication, machining, design, CNC programing, and advanced metrology.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Lead Engineering team with project management, program management, and staff management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including customer, sales, R&D, quality and operations to ensure project success.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Oversee design, development, and testing of engineering solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers with technical expertise.
• Develop and maintain project documentation including design specs, test plans, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with company standards.
