Coherent Corp. in Newark, Delaware seeks an experienced R&D Machining Engineer to lead CAD/CAM, CMM, and prototype machining, collaborating with Engineers and Technicians to bring advanced ceramic and metal matrix composite products to manufacturing.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, specifying new equipment, running trials, drafting procedures, and transferring successful products to production by documenting results and training personnel. This is an on‑site, 5‑day work week role.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience or BS in same fields with 5+ years of experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CAM, CAD, GD&T, ISO, Black Belt, CMM, Lean/Kaizen are a strong plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead machining functions for R&D, including CAD, CAM, CMM programming.
• Machining prototypes from advanced composites (ceramics, MMC).
• Program equipment in MasterCAM, PC-DIMS, Calypso, MX.
• Generate PC-based outputs on Agile, Oracle, Cumulus, Creo, Solidworks.
