Job summary

Wade Trim seeks a Process Engineer to join our Water Team in Michigan offices. The candidate must be a licensed PE with a Civil or Environmental Engineering degree and 10–15 years’ related experience. Expertise in large-scale piping, valves, pumping systems, and treatment technologies is required, with strong writing and communication skills.

A flexible hybrid-remote schedule is available after 30 days. Responsibilities include planning, design, and construction support for water/wastewater

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 10–15 years of related experience.
• Experience with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects.
• Expertise in nitrification/denitrification, phosphorus removal, secondary/tertiary treatment, biosolids handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical planning, process and mechanical design support for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations.
• Prepare specifications and permit submittals.
• Assist with scope, budget, and scheduling for new tasks.
• Monitor task budgets and progress; document design changes.
• Perform on-site inspections and start-up guidance as needed.
• Prepare project status and client communications.
• Participate in proposals and client/project meetings.
