Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in West Point, PA, seeks a Sr. Specialist, Engineering to provide technical input on sterile processes, oversee manufacturing projects, and ensure timely availability of clinical and development batches.

The role interfaces with development scientists and oversees deviations, improvements, and new technology implementations. The position requires a BS in a relevant field, 3+ years in technical roles, and strong GMP, documentation, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a technical or operations support role.
• Sterile process manufacturing and/or formulation development.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Project management experience.
• Analytical problem solving skills.
• Cross functional leadership.
• Technical writing – batch documentation, investigations, protocols.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main interface with development scientists for sterile liquid clinical and development batches.
• Provide manufacturing project management oversight and GMP expertise.
• Contribute to deviation management and process improvement projects.
• Lead implementation of new technologies and process design in the SLP.
• Support transfer to the supply network and ongoing process optimization.
