Job summary

Hyfé is hiring a Senior Process Engineer to scale our HyféRevive process from pilot to commercial scale. You will own derisking, tech transfer to CMOs, and FEL2/FEED studies, coordinating with vendors and EPC firms. The role reports to the CTO and requires hands-on experience scaling processes in a startup environment.

You will lead data flow, build Aspen Plus TEA models, and drive scale-up decisions, with strong written and presentation skills for leadership and investors.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of industry experience, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• Hands-on experience scaling a process from pilot to commercial or CMOs.
• Experience with vendors and engineering firms, including vendor testing and reviews.
• Demonstrated problem solving in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Ability to reconcile mass/energy balances and explain data accuracy.
• Working knowledge of TEA and sensitivity analyses.
• Hands-on experience with Aspen Plus or SuperPro Designer.
• Clear written communication and presenting recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Data and analysis: manage lab/pilot data flow into process design and document assumptions.
• Process modeling/economics: maintain Aspen Plus flowsheet and TEA analyses.
• Scale-up derisking: identify risks, design lean experiments, and lead equipment selection.
• CMO transfer: assess CMOs, prepare tech transfer packages, and lead runs on site.
• Front-end design: lead FEL2/FEED studies, develop PFDs, P&IDs, and control philosophies.
• Communication: write memos/slides for leadership, investors, and customers; support patents.
