Job summary

Nexus PMG in Greenville, SC seeks a Senior Process Engineer to own the basis of design for renewable fuels and industrial chemical facilities. You will craft heat and mass balances, P&ID reviews, equipment sizing, and startup philosophies, while coordinating across disciplines and stakeholders.

You will defend technical deliverables to clients, lenders, and authorities, and advance safety analyses, process hazard studies, and commissioning support throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Coursework or demonstrated depth in thermodynamics, reaction engineering, separations, and transport phenomena.
• Ten or more years in fuels, chemicals, or process industries; EPC/AE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop process basis of design, design criteria, and line limits for new facilities and expansions.
• Build and maintain process models in Aspen Plus/HYSYS and document convergence and property methods.
• Size and specify process equipment and perform heat integration and utility balances.
• Lead or support hazard analyses, safety reviews, and PSM requirements.
• Assist with stage-gate FEED through FEL-3 and provide engineering estimates and documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and present technical positions to clients and regulators.
