Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for the Growing Media Maintenance & Engineering team. This remote role (near an existing location) requires 50% travel to support facilities across the network.

You will drive reliability improvements, manage CMMS rollout, develop equipment standards, and mentor maintenance staff. Strong leadership, RCA, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering (Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years operating in a manufacturing environment with reliability improvements.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Experience leading capital projects and maintenance optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison across operations, maintenance, safety, quality, procurement and engineering.
• Develop mastery of manufacturing equipment and packaging processes.
• Lead CMMS implementation including asset hierarchy and preventive maintenance optimization.
• Create and maintain equipment documentation and training materials.
• Develop/deliver technical training via learning management systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve OEE and reduce costs.
• Apply root cause analysis (RCA) to diagnose problems and implement permanent solutions.
• Identify bottlenecks and lead manufacturing improvement plans across sites.
