Job summary

Metric Bio, partnered with an innovative Drug Product CDMO, is seeking a Senior/Associate/Principal Process Engineer to join its team on site in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on solving complex process engineering challenges and taking novel drug delivery technologies from development through commercial manufacture.

You'll lead design and optimization for polymeric drug delivery platforms, drive scale-up from lab to pilot to full-scale production, and collaborate with formulation scientists,

Qualifications

• 2–7+ years of industrial experience in pharmaceutical process engineering or manufacturing.
• Experience developing and scaling polymeric drug delivery systems (hydrogels and/or microspheres).
• Experience with process scale-up, technology transfer, and process validation.
• Strong understanding of cGMP and FDA regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with track record of investigating manufacturing issues and implementing improvements.
• Collaborative approach, able to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design and optimisation for advanced polymeric drug delivery platforms.
• Drive scale-up activities from laboratory and pilot scale to commercial manufacturing.
• Support technology transfer and process validation.
• Collaborate with formulation scientists, analytical teams, engineering colleagues, and equipment vendors to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
• Work with cutting-edge drug delivery technologies and have a genuine impact on bringing innovative therapies to patients.
• Provide contributions that support successful technology transfer and continuous process improvements.
