Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Physics, or one of the Engineering disciplines.
• 5 years of experience minimum of mechanical engineering or process engineering or equivalent.
• Glass fabrication experience in processes such as glass cutting, seaming, machining and screen printing.
• Work within timelines and controlled environments. Must be able to prioritize work orders and be adaptable to changes in priorities.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices.
• Effective listening, communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
• Team player who works productively with different departments.
• Demonstrated high integrity and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of projects related to implementation of new products and processes
• Communicate project status and roadblocks to affected individuals, manage through resistance and priority conflicts
• Plan and execute all required tasks, ensuring all team members know all tasks and deadlines
• Use considerable technical judgement and skill to resolve process and product problems
• Investigate anomalous product and process conditions, and take or recommend corrective action
• Interface with project stakeholders, including external customers, to provide status, obtain information and overcome obstacles
• Recommend, develop and deploy process improvements
• May be required to do limited travel to support the above
