Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a talented mechanical engineer to join our team in Puerto Rico and the USA. You will work with a cross-functional team to optimize manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and develop advanced engineering solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with research, QA, utilities, and facilities, plus supervising engineers and coordinating external consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging equipment and packaging processes.
• Experience designing and developing new equipment and processes.
• Experience with validation activities and processes.
• Experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industries.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication skills.
• Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Characterize process optimization strategies and troubleshoot operational issues in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with research, manufacturing, process development, quality assurance and validation on system modifications.
• Work with project managers to complete design and engineering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate consultants, architects and engineers on standard design documents.
• Develop departmental budgets for projects across multiple disciplines.
• Develop engineering policies and procedures affecting multiple units.
• Supervise engineers, associates and technicians on an ongoing and project basis.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques and extend knowledge to related fields.
• Serve as a peer-recognized engineering technology specialist in at least one area.
