Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC seeks a highly motivated engineer to join our manufacturing team serving Puerto Rico and the USA. You will design manufacturing processes, production layouts, and sequences for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.

You will optimize machinery arrangements, adapt designs to meet production needs, and integrate inspection and testing into plans while collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 0+ years of relevant experience; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production layouts, equipment, machining, and material handling.
  • Basic understanding of equipment design, installation, and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and basic statistical techniques preferred.
  • Ability to identify manufacturing issues, evaluate equipment performance, and support corrective actions.
  • Understanding of quality requirements, inspection and testing processes, and manufacturing regulations.
  • Ability to interpret engineering concepts, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and cross-functional teams.

  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.

  • Evaluate the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies and ensure product quality.
  • Develop manufacturing processes applicable to SPC and support implementation of statistical techniques.
  • Provide engineering guidance on design concepts and specification requirements to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and procedures comply with applicable regulations, standards, and quality requirements.
