Job summary

Avantor in Paris, KY is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide engineering leadership and technical support across manufacturing, product development, safety and customer support. The role leads manufacturing technology, safety management processes, and process development, scale-up and implementation.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, R&T and other functions to drive continuous improvement, monitor process capability, lead capital projects, and ensure product quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Five or more years of related experience.
• Two+ years in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, ISO 9000 and environmental regulations.
• Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean certification preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Engineering, Maintenance, R&T and other clients to drive continuous improvement and provide clear technology direction.
• Collaborate with Production Leadership, Procurement and external vendors on improvement plans.
• Accountable for product quality, safety, waste minimization, and process throughput.
• Lead capital projects to support plant initiatives and monitor process reliability.
• Provide data analysis, root cause analysis and corrective actions for process trends or out-of-control data.
