Job summary

X Energy, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to design and implement waste management and manufacturing processes in our Maryland facility. The role focuses on uranium and hazardous waste handling, process optimization, and safety compliance across multiple areas.

You will collaborate with R&D and regulatory teams to translate lab results to pilot and production scale while maintaining strict environmental and safety guidelines. This is a full-time on-site position with standard office hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, nuclear, or materials engineering; advanced degree may substitute years.
• CAD and P&ID experience preferred.
• Hazardous waste management certification preferred.
• Data analysis and waste management software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support uranium and radioactive waste recovery operations.
• Design, procure, install, and operate multiple process areas.
• Develop specifications for process equipment with suppliers.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to design, construct and install equipment.
• Translate lab-scale processes to pilot and production scales.
• Ensure safety procedures and regulatory compliance for processes and equipment.
• Maintain master lists of chemical inputs/outputs and waste streams.
