Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer 3 in East Peoria, IL, for a 12-month assignment. The role focuses on leading projects from concept to commissioning, coordinating with operations, quality, and suppliers, and ensuring safe, compliant execution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5–7 years in manufacturing or industrial settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or industrial equipment environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of metallurgical processes and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute engineering projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with operations, quality, maintenance, and suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
• Support capital project installation, modification, and startup activities.
• Act as the technical point of contact for assigned projects.
