Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to drive projects from concept through commissioning, focusing on metallurgical processes, mechanical systems, and plant operations. You will manage schedules, risks, and suppliers to ensure on-time results.

The role requires 5–7+ years in manufacturing/heavy industry, strong project management, and excellent cross-functional collaboration. Heat-treat, casting, forging, and continuous improvement experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/metallurgical/materials science or related engineering.
• 5–7+ years manufacturing/heavy-industry experience.
• Project management and strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of metallurgical processes and mechanical systems.
• Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through commissioning, coordinating schedules, risks, and suppliers.
• Support heat treat, steel, casting, forging, and other manufacturing processes.
• Perform metallurgical/materials analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Support mechanical systems, equipment layouts, piping, fixtures, and quench systems.
• Provide shop-floor troubleshooting and production support.
• Coordinate with operations, quality, maintenance, controls, and suppliers.

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM CST

Experience: 5–7+ years
