Job summary

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead midstream oil and gas projects. You will drive engineering across scope, design, and construction, mentor junior engineers, and own critical deliverables such as simulations and equipment selection.

Ideal candidates have hands-on process simulation experience and a strong refinery/gas processing background, with a passion for mentoring and problem solving. On-site role at OPD’s Katy HQ.

Qualifications

• Broad process engineering experience in midstream or downstream oil and gas.
• Hands-on with process simulation software (HYSYS, Unisim).
• Experience in design calculations and FEED deliverables.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering across all project phases, from scope to construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and take ownership of key deliverables.
• Perform process simulations, sizing, and equipment selection.
• Review FEED documents, PFDs, P&IDs, and datasheets.
• Evaluate vendor quotes and support start-up activities.
