Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead design, optimization, and troubleshooting across capital projects and operating facilities. You will develop process deliverables, drive technical excellence, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

You will lead PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and simulations, and participate in PSM reviews to ensure compliance with API/ASME standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• PE license preferred.
• 8+ years of process engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design activities including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing.
• Perform process simulations and hydraulic calculations (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Support HAZOP, LOPA, and other process safety reviews; close out action items.
• Troubleshoot plant performance issues and identify debottlenecking and optimization opportunities.
• Review vendor documents and support procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables for technical accuracy.
