Job summary

BioPharma Consulting JAD Group is seeking an experienced engineer to independently provide and direct engineering support for process optimization, troubleshooting, and major system or facility modifications across operations, manufacturing, pilot plant, and capital project environments.

The role requires advanced engineering expertise, creativity, and leadership in developing solutions, and interpreting results for initiatives of significant scope and complexity.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s/Bachelor’s with corresponding years of engineering experience required.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech processes preferred (GLPs and GMPs).
• Technical report writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Validation protocol execution experience preferred.
• Specialized equipment/process expertise and project management experience valued.
• Schedule development, facilitation, collaboration, and project management experience.
• Experience with sterile injectable products or drug-device combinations is a plus.
• Knowledge of packaging operations and troubleshooting is a plus.
• Change management and equipment-specific technical expertise desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct engineering support for process optimization, troubleshooting, and major system or facility modifications.
• Develop engineering policies and procedures impacting multiple units.
• Supervise, coordinate, and review work by engineers, associates, and technicians.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques and adapt methodologies within area of expertise.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, process development, utilities, facilities, QA and validation teams.
• Work with project managers to deliver design and engineering projects within schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate work with consultants, architects, and firms to develop standard design documentation.
• Develop departmental or project budgets across multiple disciplines.
