Job summary

JEFF SMITH & ASSOCIATES, INC. seeks a Senior Process Engineer to lead manufacturing, quality, and technical support for filtration media and treatment products.

The role spans bench, production floor, and field deployment, ensuring safe, consistent, and efficient media manufacturing while meeting quality and regulatory standards. The candidate will drive scale-up, QC standards, CAPA, and process validation, collaborating with production, inventory, and purchasing teams, with travel to job sites

Qualifications

• Specialization in water treatment with hands-on experience treating industrial water streams.
• B.S. in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry and surface chemistry.
• Experience with bench-scale and pilot-scale testing and interpreting results.
• Experience developing test methods, SOPs and quality docs.

Responsibilities

• Scale-up media/products from lab to full production and verify process controls.
• Diagnose production and field performance issues and implement improvements.
• Oversee daily manufacturing activities and coordinate with purchasing, inventory, logistics and sales.
• Maintain production SOPs, batch records and training materials.
• Lead quality-system investigations and CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Support audits and third-party certifications (NSF, EPA, ISO).
• Design and analyze pilot studies for media performance across applications.
• Provide field technical support and field insights for media development.
