The role emphasizes on-site field engagement, real-time data collection, and robust debottlenecking, delivering PDPs and detailed engineering deliverables while traveling to ethanol plants and coordinating with the Buffalo NY HQ.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in process engineering (distillation/separations).
• Deep expertise in distillation, fractionation, mass transfer, heat exchangers.
• Experience with ethanol plant systems and debottlenecking.
• Proficiency in process simulations (Aspen, PRO/II, ChemCAD) and in developing heat & material balances.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site field assessments at ethanol production facilities.
• Collect and validate real-time operating data (pressure, temperature, flow, compositions).
• Develop baseline simulation models calibrated with field data.
• Identify hydraulic bottlenecks and heat transfer limitations.
• Deliver debottlenecking solutions including tower internals and heat integration.
