Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Process Engineer II to assist in troubleshooting and improving ethanol manufacturing processes at operating plants. You will develop design packages, update P&IDs, and help manage projects to on-time completion while working with senior engineers.

The role requires a BS/MS in engineering, PE or CPIP is preferred, and 3+ years in chemical/petroleum/biochemical process design. Strong MS Office, Adobe, and AutoCAD skills are expected, with 20% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting issues at operating plants and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Develop design packages with equipment specifications and P&ID updates.
• Lead project activities and track timelines to completion
• Analyze procedures and equipment to reduce processing time and cost.
• Design and plan measurement and control systems for ethanol plants based on lab and pilot data.
