Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Process Engineering Associate IV in Houston, TX to perform advanced process-engineering assignments for designing equipment and systems. You will prepare specifications, sketches, calculations, and analysis models for moderately complex projects, and review vendor drawings against project requirements.

The role requires collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and other engineers, with a focus on meeting schedule and budget while adhering to HSSE standards and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
• ABET-accredited degree preferred.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Field experience preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience preferred.
• HYSYS, ProMax or equivalent software experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of API codes and process design standards preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Under minimal guidance, prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications for project assignments detailing client performance requirements, specific component needs, design requirements, applicable design codes, and vendor drawing requirements.
• Prepare engineering sketches, perform calculations and develop analysis models for moderately complex projects.
• Review and approve vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants.
• Set realistic expectations and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Adhere to HSSE standards and company quality procedures.
• Interact with drafting/design group to develop and review engineering drawings.
• Visit job-sites to evaluate site, project requirements, and conditions.
• Visit vendor facilities to inspect equipment for compliance with requirements.
