Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Process Engineer to lead process improvement initiatives, provide daily technical support, and drive safe, reliable manufacturing operations.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, HSES, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing to scale up processes, implement capital projects, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role reports to the Process Improvement Manager and focuses on delivering measurable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 4+ years of process, manufacturing, technology, or improvement engineering experience.
• Experience with cross-functional teams in process improvement, tech transfer, scale-up, and capital projects.
• Working knowledge of statistical process control and data-based problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Monitor process capability, product performance, and losses to identify improvements.
• Provide technical direction to Operations and support after-hours when needed.
• Recommend changes to reduce variability and improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Train operators on technical/process changes.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Lead continuous-improvement activities and project scoping.
• Analyze data to align improvements with site goals.
• Apply best practices to create measurable value.
• Support multi-year process and technology plans.
• Use SPC and designed experiments to sustain results.
