Job summary

Salas O'Brien in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Process Engineer - Clean Utilities to lead and support client projects within a cGMP environment, focusing on design through site start-up of clean utility systems (RO/WFI/Clean Steam/Process Gases).

You will collaborate with design, CQV/start-up and operations teams, draft specifications, URS, data sheets and test plans, and drive sustainability, productivity, quality, and cost reduction across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or equivalent preferred).
• 3–10 years in pharmaceutical industry or high-purity water/steam systems and process gases experience.
• Experience with clean utilities systems and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead clean utilities initiatives and direct engineering teams through varied project phases.
• Support incident investigations, due diligence, and corrective actions related to utility systems.
• Maintain project documentation including design specs, test plans, and reports.
• Communicate with customers, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely updates.
