Job summary

Mars Snacking Accelerator division seeks a Sr. Project Engineer - Process to lead capital projects from ideation through closure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will oversee processing technology, packaging systems, and utilities, partnering with Plant Leadership, Brand Innovation, Procurement and Finance to deliver capital initiatives on time and within budget. The role requires a BS in Engineering and 7+ years of CPG manufacturing leadership, strong capital execution,

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 7+ years of engineering/technical leadership in consumer products manufacturing (CPG).
• End-to-end capital project management experience.
• Broad industrial engineering knowledge: packaging, civil/structural, electrical, utilities, construction management.

Responsibilities

• Capital Project Leadership & Delivery: lead capital projects from $2M to $100M+, ensuring on-time delivery, budget, safety and quality.
• Process Technology & Capability: be the main technical authority for processing technology within Accelerator.
• Strategic cross-functional partnership with Accelerator BU, Brand Innovation, Manufacturing, Technical Operations and Procurement.
• Financial & Scope Management: develop and manage capital budgets, cash flows, change-of-scope approvals, feasibility studies, cost savings.
• Standards & Technical Synergy: develop processing/packaging standards and leverage Mars platforms.
• Site Engineering & Technical Guidance: support design concepts, equipment specs, vendor selection, construction management, layout optimization.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance: align with HSE and QFS to meet Mars safety and food safety standards.
• Team Upskilling & Operational Community: mentor teams in new technologies and project execution best practices.
