Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to own strategic and tactical cross-functional projects for material handling systems. You will lead large-scale design and implementation of process improvements, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating with multiple teams worldwide.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills; travel 50%–70% is expected to sites to ensure practical outcomes align with theory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Reliability Engineering.
• 5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects.
• 5+ years in material handling equipment or automation environments.
• Experience in automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Design new processes or modify existing ones, focusing on equipment, workflows, and material flow; select equipment meeting productivity and safety goals.
• Develop and implement testing methods to ensure product standards and safety compliance; investigate and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency improvements; communicate technical information clearly.
• Monitor process performance and analyze data to drive improvements and inform decisions.
• Research and implement emerging technologies to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
