Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a site technical representative for commissioning and qualification activities, providing oversight from documentation review through final equipment handover and startup readiness.

Lead safety and operational readiness through walkdowns, PSSR reviews, and approving commissioning plans; provide field execution support during setup, shakedown, qualification, and handover while resolving technical discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing, engineering, commissioning & qualification (C&Q) or related experience.
• 5+ years of C&Q and/or facility startup experience.
• Strong experience reviewing and approving C&Q documentation.
• Experience supporting equipment commissioning, qualification, startup, and handover.
• Ability to lead troubleshooting during commissioning and qualification activities and work cross-functionally with Operations, Automation, Technical Services, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site technical representative for C&Q activities from documentation review through handover and startup readiness.
• Review, approve, and provide technical leadership for C&Q documentation including test cases, IV/OV protocols, startup and shakedown procedures, TMs, CL IAs, VRS/QRS packages, and discrepancy reports.
• Lead safety and operational readiness through mechanical completion walkdowns, PSSR, and approving commissioning LOTO plans.
• Provide field execution support during equipment setup, shakedown, commissioning, qualification, and process testing while resolving technical discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Operations, Automation, and C&Q teams to coordinate schedules, support water/solvent introduction, drive daily execution planning, and ensure system startup and performance verification.

• Review, approve, and provide technical leadership for C&Q documentation including test cases, IV/OV protocols, startup and shakedown procedures, Test Matrices (TMs), CLIAs, VRS/QRS packages, and discrepancy reports.
• Lead safety and operational readiness efforts by participating in mechanical completion walkdowns, Pre-Functional Testing Safety Reviews, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and approving commissioning LOTO plans.
• Provide field execution support during equipment setup, shakedown, commissioning, qualification, and process testing, while leading troubleshooting efforts and resolving technical discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Operations, Automation, and C&Q teams to coordinate schedules, support water and solvent introduction activities, drive daily execution planning, and ensure successful system startup and performance verification.
