Job summary

Quanex in Jackson, GA, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead development and optimization of manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, 2–5 years of manufacturing process experience, and strong skills in data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, and process control systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in process engineering in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis tools, and data visualization techniques.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with process control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with operators, maintenance personnel and others to determine engineering solutions to processing issues.
  • Use advanced data analysis techniques and statistical tools to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain advanced process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
  • Leverage lean and CI practices to optimize processes.
  • Design, specify, and lead installation of capital equipment for new product manufacture.
  • Provide performance specifications for new equipment or enhancements.
  • Develop modifications to existing products and processes for better quality and efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to cross-functional teams.

What You Bring

  • Excellent communication both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with process control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies

The salary range for this position is $68,500 to $100,000 with bonus potential.
