Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Process Engineer to lead manufacturing process activities for fuel cell stack and column production. You will analyze metrics, define reaction plans, and drive corrective actions to reduce root causes of failures.

The role focuses on delivering productivity gains and cost reductions, with responsibilities including SPC charting, tool matching, and qualifying new equipment for production.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry or four years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with in-depth analysis of manufacturing data.
• Experience owning a process module in development and high volume manufacturing.
• 2–5 years in manufacturing environments with process, manufacturing, and sustaining roles.
• Experience in high tech manufacturing such as semiconductor, hard disk, or solar industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding hardware/process interactions.
• Track record of solving manufacturing yield problems.
• Data analysis methods including SPC/DOE/pFMEA; JMP is a plus.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry or four years of equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Experience with in-depth analysis of manufacturing data.
• Experience owning a process module in both a development environment and high volume manufacturing environment, along with a proven track record of defining processes and procedures for manufacturing.
• 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environments, with hands-on process engineering, manufacturing engineering, and sustaining experience.
• Demonstrated experience in process engineering in high tech manufacturing, such as semiconductor, hard disk, or solar industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to understand interaction of hardware and process as they affect the final product.
• Demonstrated track record of solving manufacturing yield problems.
• Methodical approach to process development with depth in data analysis associated with SPC, DOE, pFMEA, fishbone analysis. Working knowledge of data analysis software such as JMP is a plus.
