Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in Fridley, MN is seeking a Process Development Engineer III to lead the design, development, and validation of manufacturing processes for medical devices. This full-time role requires hands-on work, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to support commercial release to production.

You will mentor engineers, drive tooling and equipment qualification, and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences while traveling between Fridley and White Bear Lake as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field preferred; other relevant education may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; 1 year may be substituted for a degree and 3 years for a doctorate.
• Experience in medical devices or manufacturing processes is highly desired.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions using statistics and validated methods.
• Experience with process validation, installation qualification, and engineering deliverables from product development.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design, development, and validation activities for medical devices through the product development process.
• Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems, select processes, and address technical challenges.
• Utilize DOE, pFMEA, DFM, and statistics to drive decisions.
• Develop and document processes for introducing new products into manufacturing.
• Lead tooling/fixturing and equipment identification, procurement, and installation.
• Mentor other engineers and promote continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with technicians and operators to solve technical problems on the floor.
• Establish regional relationships and share best practices.
