Job summary

Freeport LNG seeks a Senior Process Control Engineer to design, implement, and optimize process control systems, enhancing safety, reliability, throughput and production efficiency. Based in Freeport, TX, travel to facilities will be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering is required.
Minimum 10+ years of instrumentation or process controls experience in LNG, petrochemical or related heavy process industries.
Proficiency with DCS and PLC configuration, programming and loop tuning.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge of process control principles and apply to improve automation performance.
Collaborate with operations and process engineering to drive process improvements.
Develop and implement control strategies to improve plant stability and efficiency.
Assist with deployment of APC applications to maximize throughput and energy efficiency.
Develop the financial basis for process control improvements.
Support hazard analysis and RCFA related action items.
Troubleshoot control systems including DCS, PLCs, HMIs.
