Job summary

GBA is seeking a Senior Process Architect to design process-intensive life science facilities, integrating operational workflows, regulatory considerations, and advanced manufacturing requirements.

You will lead multi-disciplinary coordination, develop programming and space planning, and present design concepts to clients. The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, delivering compliant solutions, and maintaining project quality across complex teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field, with 6+ years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP-compliant cleanroom design, biosafety levels, and material-flow strategies.

Responsibilities

• Generate conceptual and schematic designs for process-intensive life science facilities aligned with scope, budget, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead coordination with engineering, construction, and regulatory disciplines to resolve design conflicts and compliance gaps.
• Prepare design reports, technical narratives, and client presentations communicating rationale, compliance strategies, and project impacts.
• Participate in client meetings to present concepts, answer questions, and document decisions for project integration.
• Manage project administration activities: schedule coordination, scope tracking, deliverable reviews, and documentation oversight.
• Review work produced by junior staff and provide technical feedback for accuracy and quality.
• Develop facility programming and space-planning recommendations based on operational needs and regulatory requirements.
• Stay engaged in the profession through organizations, continuing education, and knowledge sharing.
