Job summary

The Arizona Supreme Court Education Services Division seeks a Probation Training Specialist VII to develop and manage statewide probation officer training and certification programs. The role advises on curriculum for probation officers, supervisors, and juvenile detention officers and leads instructor activities across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public administration, judicial administration, educational leadership, or related field.
• At least seven years of professional experience as a certified Arizona probation officer or in related field.
• Knowledge of Arizona probation and juvenile detention operations, laws, and adult learning principles; training skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage statewide probation officer training and certification programs.
• Create and revise curriculum for probation officers, supervisors, and juvenile detention officers.
• Lead the Probation Officer Certification Academy and Intensive Probation Institute; manage a large cadre of experts.
