Battelle is seeking a senior Probabilistic Risk Analyst/Modeler for the Washington, DC area. You will drive probabilistic risk analyses, lead a team of data scientists and engineers, and serve as the primary customer contact on DoD-related studies.

The role emphasizes mathematical modeling, statistical analysis and clear reporting to executives, with a focus on high-consequence risk and national security applications. Eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required with 10+ years in risk analysis, modeling, statistics, physics, or data science.
• 5+ years developing models used to inform risk assessments.
• 5+ years managing projects with deadlines and budget.
• Expert knowledge of advanced statistics and probability.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Top-Secret DoD clearance.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning and development of risk assessments for high consequence, low probability events.
• Employ statistical methods and mathematical models to inform probabilistic risk assessments.
• Serve as primary customer contact for new and ongoing studies.
• Present results and write reports for customers and executives.
• Mentor and lead a team of data scientists, engineers, and modelers.
• Interface with external customers to identify needs and develop proposals.
