Battelle in the Washington DC area seeks a senior-level Probabilistic Risk Analyst/Modeler to lead quantitative risk assessments for high consequence events. You will advance mathematical modeling and serve as primary client contact for studies, mentoring a team of data scientists, engineers, and modelers.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Ph.D. with 10+ years in risk analysis or related fields and 5+ years managing projects on time and within budget; DoD acquisition and CBDP familiarity are

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field and 10+ years in risk analysis or related areas.
• 5+ years developing models/methods informing risk assessments.
• 5+ years managing projects with deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and development of risk assessments for high-consequence, low-probability events.
• Employ statistical methods and mathematical models to inform probabilistic risk assessments.
• Serve as primary customer point of contact for studies and present results to stakeholders.
• Mentor and lead a team of data scientists, engineers, and modelers.
